Fiat Linea- Small Family Car That Is Big On Looks
There are few companies which have the capability to define and redefine the way automobiles look. Primarily, this group is dominated by the Italians. Today when curves are the biggest selling point in the aesthetic terms for any car, Fiat is one name which has worked wonders in design of small cars. The company was reeling and in deep trouble when the Grande Punto platform came out to single handedly revive the car maker. Banking upon the success of Grande Punto, Fiat took its plunge in the small family car market as Fiat Linea. The first car of Linea lineup rolled out in 2007 and has been among the best looking cars in the category since then.

Today the car is sold in various emerging markets and competes with the likes of Honda City, Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla/Altis. The main countries where Linea is available are various nations of Europe, Latin America (Brazil) and Asia (India). Today, Linea is the largest saloon class car in Fiat line and undoubtedly the most beautiful and inspirational one as well.

Fiat Linea is sold in petrol and diesel versions. The petrol engine is 1.4L or 1.6L and diesel engine is 1.9L. The car in standard configuration can produce as much as 152 BHP which is OK for city driving. For the people who want looks along with the raw power there are turbojet engines, known as Fiat Linea TJet that produces well over 192 BHP and can touch a maximum speed of 200 kmph. Design credits for the Fiat Linea go to Fiat Style Centre and also to Fiat do Brasil and Tofa? from Turkey who were involved deeply in the design process of this Italian beauty.

One of the key reasons that has ensured the success of this car is that it comes with Microsoft Blue&Me system. This system is driven by Microsoft Windows Mobile based phones. In involves voice command control and speaker independent name dialing. This means in this car, calling is very simple. As you enter the car, the phone will be paired with the car. Now, if you want to call Jesse when you are driving, simply press the Windows flag button on steering wheel and say "Call Jesse" and the number of Jesse will be dialed and call routed to car's systems. You need not train the system and being speaker independent means that as long as the phone is paired, it does not matter who gives the command, action will be taken. In Brazil, the feature is further enhanced by Blue&Me Nav system which allows satellite navigation as well along with voice prompts.

Fiat Linea TJet in India comes with a special vintage wine, delivered to buyer in a beautiful Fiat branded wine case!
